Gentlemen! Our unit purchased a spring bracket labeled with a load capacity of 1399 N and a displacement of 21 millimeters. The original pipeline was supported by rigid supports; after installing this spring bracket, the displacement increased to 40 millimeters. It seemed that the spring was too soft. Therefore, I calculated the required weight by dividing 1339 N by 9.8 N, resulting in 142 kilograms. When a sandbag of that weight was placed on the spring, the displacement was still 40 millimeters. Logically, such a weight should not cause any displacement or only a minimal one. Is this testing method correct? How can one test on their own to determine if there is a problem with the spring bracket? Thank you!
There are standards for this; when asking the manufacturer, they say only they can conduct the tests.
The manufacturer says that the design was carried out according to the parameters provided by the design institute, and there are no issues.
Then have the manufacturer come to carry out the adjustments, or have them provide a letter from the design institute confirming that there are no issues with the parameter settings, as written proof.
I don’t know what the temperature of the main pipeline in the building is Is the displacement a lateral displacement? Or vertical displacement? Is the spring bracket variable? Is it still a constant force? 1. The installation of spring supports is determined as a result of stress analysis of the pipeline. 2. The displacement of the pipeline at that joint has little to do with the load applied at that point; it depends solely on the thermal expansion caused by the increase in temperature of the pipeline.
