China State Construction Silk Road Consortium wins the EPC contract for Ningxia’s 200,000-ton green methanol project

On December 26, the results of the bidding for the production of 200,000 tons of green methanol in the first phase of Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd.’s 300,000-ton green methanol integrated project in Lingwu, Ningxia, were made public. Winner of the bid: China Construction Silk Road Construction Investment Co., Ltd. (including the consortium: China Zhongyuan International Engineering Co., Ltd. and Aerospace Planning and Design Group Co., Ltd.) Bid price: 290,427.9295 million yuan. Project overview: Project name: Phase 1 of the 300,000-ton green methanol integrated project at Lingwu, Ningxia, operated by Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. – 200,000 tons of green methanol to be produced. The main components of this project include: ① Biomass-to-biogas production facilities: These encompass various processes and auxiliary equipment such as biomass storage, preprocessing, fermentation, biogas purification, storage in gas tanks, biogas compression, and biogas boilers. The biomass biogas production facility is located in Xinhuo Village, Baitugang Township, Lingwu City, covering an area of 595.59 mu. ②Biogas long-distance pipelines: The specific scope includes biogas long-distance pipelines, valve rooms, terminal stations, fiber-optic leakage monitoring systems, cathodic protection, and crossing projects. The diameter of the gas transmission pipeline is D406.4 mm, running from Baicitugang as the starting point to Lingzhou as the terminal station, with a straight-line distance of 31 km. ③ Biogas to methanol plant: The scope includes biogas decarburization, natural gas conversion, methanol production units, hydrogen production via water electrolysis, methanol purification facilities, product storage areas, loading stations, as well as the plant’s utility systems and auxiliary production equipment. Located in Majiatan Town, Lingwu, it covers an area of 319.70 mu. Construction location: Yinchuan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Yinchuan City. On May 8, the 300,000-ton green methanol integrated project of Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. in Lingwu, Ningxia, was approved for registration. Project code 2504-640907-04-01-812995. On April 22, the Lingwu Municipal Government of Ningxia and Lingwu Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed an investment agreement for a integrated project to produce 300,000 tons of green methanol per year. An investment of 11 billion yuan is planned.
