One of the devices we manufactured is made of Q345R material, and due to the properties of the medium used, overall heat treatment is required. The user’s drawings require us to supply a section of pipe that is welded and connected to the flange of the main body. In this case, is this pipe subject to heat treatment?
The temperature for this heat treatment is limited, primarily to eliminate residual metal stresses.
The description is unclear; if the pipe and the flange on the body are welded together, they need to be heat-treated together. It is recommended to use flange connections for this pipe and the main body, thereby eliminating the need for heat treatment
