In the \"Code for Layout Design of Petrochemical Plants\" GB 50984-2014, the recommended value for the minimum safety distance in Table-2 of the explanatory provisions in Article 4.8 is 60m between high-toxicity gas leaks and the control room of a single unit； Other crowded areas: 100/150/200m. The requirements for gas protection are more stringent than those for fire protection. Although the explanatory notes do not have the same legal force as the main text of the standards and are usually used only for reference, many local projects now require compliance with the recommended minimum safety distances listed in Table 2 of the explanatory notes for approval and acceptance purposes!

Code for Design of Fire Dikes in Tank Areas GB50351-2014, Article 3.2.1: 7 Tanks storing liquids of toxicity grades I and II shall not be located within the same fire dike as tanks storing other flammable and combustible liquids.
Storage tanks for liquids of Category I and II toxicity should not be located within the same fire dike as storage tanks for other flammable and combustible liquids.
