In chemical plants, liquid feed is introduced from the bottom, isn’t that to avoid saturated liquid vapor inside? If it were introduced from the top, there would be a risk of static electricity leading to an explosion
Most of those seen are fed from the top; once inside, the pipes go downward toward the bottom of the tank, thereby preventing material impact and volatilization as well as reducing static electricity
Some organic solvents that are prone to generating static electricity should be introduced into the tube from the bottom or from the top, while those that do not generate static electricity can be introduced directly from the top.
In accordance with the new chemical engineering design standards, all feed pipes for hazardous chemicals enter from above, using deep-bottom pipes. It is mainly used for situations such as leaks and static electricity; for transport in tank trucks, an inlet and outlet at the top are employed
