Moved from a clerical position to a process design position

Good afternoon, everyone. I’m a woman and currently work as a clerk in a chemical plant. I was wondering whether, if I pass the basic exam for chemical engineers, I could get a job as a process technician or designer. I would be very grateful if you could help me with this question. Thank you so much!
The certification requires a certain number of years of work experience; those from non-related fields seem to need at least 7 years of experience
It’s extremely difficult; there’s a significant gap between theory and practice. No organization would risk its future by engaging in such things. You might consider switching to a position in business management or as a systems engineer.
It’s quite difficult, as I haven’t been exposed to it for a long time; although I have obtained a certificate, there is still a big gap between what I know and what is actually required in practice.
The basic exam is useless; passing the specialized exam is what matters.
It is recommended to switch to a technical management role; it’s too difficult to move into a design position, especially process design.
