The author installed a double-threaded hose clamp on the external threaded end of the G1 pipe (standard: SHT 3410-2012 (revised in 2017) – forged steel socket-welded and threaded fittings for the petrochemical industry) in order to connect it to other pipes. The review concluded that the SHT 3410 standard cannot be used to manufacture fittings with G1 threads; it can only be used for fittings with NPT threads. The reason is that the standards cited in its standard normative reference documents only refer to GB/T 12716, without referencing GB/T 7307. To be honest, I don’t understand – what standards are used to manufacture other threaded pipe fittings? Finally, I used a short tube with internal threads to circumvent the standard. Regarding this issue, what do everyone do?

It is speculated that the GB/T 7307 standard is called 55-degree unsealed pipe thread. It shouldn’t be possible to achieve sealing through threads.
