Recently, Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. issued a announcement regarding the winner of the EPC contract for the 1.65 million tons per year ethylene production facility as part of the Fine Chemicals and Raw Materials Project at Beifang Huajin United Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The details are as follows: Project overview – The 1.65 million tons per year ethylene production facility is the main chemical production unit in this project; its nominal capacity is 1.65 million tons of ethylene per year, with an operating range of 60–110%, and an annual operating time of 8,000 hours. Scope of the tender: Responsible for the overall design, procurement, and construction of this project. This includes all tasks related to the design, procurement, construction, and individual unit testing phases, starting from the detailed design stage and up to the intermediate handover point, within the scope of foundation engineering design. It also involves providing technical support after the intermediate handover, archiving project documents, assisting with joint testing, commissioning tests, performance evaluations, and final acceptance. The contractor is responsible for warranty services during the defect liability period to fix any defects that arise, as well as for warranty coverage after that period. User training is also part of the responsibilities. The contractor takes full responsibility for the technical, quality, safety, environmental, operational, scheduling, and cost aspects of the EPC contract work. The scope of this facility includes a 1.65 million tons per year ethylene plant, which encompasses the cracking furnace area, quenching area, compression area, cold area, hot area, wet air oxidation unit, steam and condensate unit, PSA unit, wastewater tanks (1 and 2), on-site cabinet rooms FAR2-01 and FAR2-02, the first substation, the second substation, internal pipe galleries within the plant, underground pipes, foundations, roads, and other auxiliary facilities.
