Issues regarding the fire separation distances between Class A, B, and C tank areas and buildings

Table 4.2.1 of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings. Note: 1 When storage tanks for Class A and B liquids and those for Class C liquids are located in the same tank area, the total capacity of the tank area can be calculated by converting 1 m³ of Class A and B liquids to 5 m³ of Class C liquids. Question: The building is adjacent to a tank storage area, which contains tanks storing three types of fluids: type A, type B, and type C. The tank closest to the building in this area is a type C tank. Should we determine the fire separation distance from the building based on the volume of the type C tank, or should we use the total volume resulting from converting the volumes of types A and B into equivalent values for type C? As shown in the figure
The fire separation distance from the building should be determined based on the total volume resulting from converting categories A and B to category C. .
For Category C, Note 1 of 4.2.1 in GB50016 specifies the calculation of the total capacity of a tank area when tanks of Categories A, B, and C are located in the same tank area.
