From March 26 to March 29, Inner Mongolia Huadian Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. organized a joint effort by North China Electric Power Design Institute, Inner Mongolia Hongchuang Planning and Design Co., Ltd., MingYang Smart Energy Group Co., Ltd., and Shuimu Mingtuo Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to carry out the detailed site selection for the wind turbines used in the Shuimu Mingtuo new energy hydrogen production project. Micro-site selection is one of the most important steps in the preliminary phase of wind farm construction; it serves as the foundation for a series of subsequent design tasks, and it requires extremely high accuracy in the analytical processing of the relevant data. A minor mistake can lead to inaccurate positioning of the fan, causing significant losses to the entire project. The members of the inspection team must overcome various challenges such as ultraviolet radiation, extreme weather conditions, and complex terrain in order to inspect each wind turbine site one by one. They use specialized measuring instruments and GPS to determine the coordinates of these sites, and record in detail the conditions of each site and its surrounding area. Based on the wind resource conditions and construction requirements of each site, it is initially determined whether that site or the adjusted location for the wind turbines meets the construction requirements. Ultimately, an accurate assessment of the wind energy resources in the area is conducted, and this assessment is confirmed by signatures from the design institute, surveying and mapping agency, wind turbine manufacturer, and the project owner.
