Sodium hypochlorite solution can indeed decompose under high temperatures or exposure to light, producing chlorine and oxygen. Therefore, it is recommended to install chlorine detectors in the room where 10% sodium hypochlorite solutions are stored, especially if large quantities are stored or if the storage area may experience temperature increases. This can effectively prevent and control the safety risks associated with chlorine leaks. .
It is not recommended to install alarms in storage areas; it’s actually not very useful.
The stock volume is not large – it’s basically no more than 10 tons – and the storage period is no more than 1 week. My idea is to install temperature sensors in the room and link them to emergency fans, so that the fans start operating to exhaust air when the temperature exceeds 28°C. Let’s put off installing the alarm for now and wait to see the experts’ opinions during the review of the safety design document.
