[Haichuan Project Updates] Environmental Impact Assessment Announcement for Fujian Yongrong Technology’s 600,000 tons/year caprolactam upgrade project

Before June 17, 2024, the first round of information disclosure regarding the environmental impact assessment for the expansion project of Phase II of Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd.’s 600,000 tons per year caprolactam production facility (300,000 tons per year caprolactam capacity). Overview of the capacity expansion and renovation project: Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Shimen’ao Industrial Park, Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province. The environmental impact report for its main project, “Modifications to the 600,000-ton/year caprolactam project”, was approved by the Putian Ecological Environment Bureau in February 2022 (Document No. Pu Huan Shen [2022] 4). At present, the project has been completed and commissioned, and procedures for the final environmental impact assessment are underway. This project – the expansion and renovation project for Phase II of Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd.’s 600,000 tons per year caprolactam production facility (300,000 tons per year caprolactam) – is planned to be carried out on the land reserved within the factory site, with the caprolactam production capacity in Phase II being increased from the current 300,000 tons per year to 370,000 tons per year. The total investment in the project is approximately 280 million yuan. The main construction components include an ammonoxime production unit, a caprolactam purification unit, an ammonium sulfate production unit, capacity expansion projects for certain units, technical upgrades to the cyclohexane dehydrogenation unit, as well as waste liquid treatment facilities and other related utility systems.
