Kickoff meeting for the basic design of Yan’an Energy Chemical’s 50,000 tons/year MTBE plant (including butylene isomerization)

Recently, Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as \"Beiyou Engineering\") successfully held a kick-off meeting for the basic design of the 50,000 tons per year MTBE plant (including butylene isomerization) as part of the next phase of the \"Sanjiang Sancai\" specialized and high-quality project carried out by Yan’an Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as \"Yanenghua\") at its Xi’an branch. This project is an important step for Yanneng Chemical in achieving industrial upgrading, marking the entry of their cooperation into a phase of substantive progress. Liu Hanying, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Beiyou Engineering, Ma Yongfeng, Deputy Manager of the Xi’an branch, and representatives from various professional design teams attended the meeting. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on key topics such as the project scope, implementation objectives, and schedule, laying a solid foundation for the efficient progress of subsequent design work. Liu Hanying noted that this project will provide critical technical support for Yannenghua to improve quality and efficiency by enabling the high-value conversion of isobutylene in the materials through ACO devices. He requested that the design team make full use of its professional expertise to ensure that the technical solutions are not only practical but also at the forefront of the industry, thereby creating high-quality projects and setting new benchmarks for the sector. The project team will concentrate its best resources and strictly control quality to ensure that the design tasks are completed on schedule and to a high standard. The implementation of this project will enhance the economic efficiency and market competitiveness of Yanenghua, while also further strengthening Beiyou Engineering’s technical capabilities in the field of petrochemical engineering, thereby providing support for the development of the industry. It is reported that the 50,000 tons per year MTBE plant (including butylene isomerization) integrates three processes: MTBE production, alkenes separation, and butylene isomerization. It enables the high-value conversion of isobutylene in the recycled materials from ACO plants, representing a key measure for Yaneng Chemical to fully utilize its existing capabilities and improve efficiency; it plays an irreplaceable role in the layout of the industrial chain.
