On October 14, the approval evaluation meeting for Xinjiang Xinye State-owned Assets Operation (Group) Co., Ltd.’s 2 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-natural gas project in Zhundong, organized by the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute, was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting heard a presentation by Wojiang Clean Energy (Jundong Economic and Technological Development Zone) Co., Ltd. on the project application report. The experts present reviewed the report from various aspects, including the overall process design, compliance with industry policies, environmental impacts, technical and economic aspects of the cost estimates, the overall layout of the project, thermal power generation, as well as drainage and environmental protection measures. The meeting recognized the significant importance of Xinye Group’s Zhundong coal-to-gas project in driving regional economic development and long-term stability, as well as in promoting the localization of equipment for coal-to-natural gas production and facilitating industrial upgrading. It provided valuable suggestions for revising and improving the project application report, ensuring that the project is technically advanced, reliable, scientific, safe, and environmentally friendly from an architectural perspective.
