【Common Issues in Haichuan Pipeline Design】Liquid pockets exist in the pipeline layout, but no drain valves have been installed

Standard reference: SH 3012-2011, Code for Design of Metal Pipe Layouts in Petrochemical Industries. Clause 3.1.12 states that the pipe layout should be arranged in a manner that ensures a gradual increase or decrease in elevation, in order to reduce the formation of air pockets or liquid pockets. Otherwise, venting or draining should be provided according to operational and maintenance requirements. The piping layout should minimize dead zones.
