Anti-static grounding measures are not installed at the ends of the process pipelines in oil depots. During the design, installation, and inspection of these pipelines, various minor issues that have been overlooked or not taken into account are often identified. These issues are compiled into a list, which is being updated continuously. Everyone is welcome to actively participate in discussions. This is a compilation post on common problems in Haimen Pipeline Design; it’s still being updated, and discussions are welcome: https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-5705828-1-1.html ------------------------------------------------------------------ According to Standard No. 1: the “Design Code for Oil Depots” GB 50074-2014, Article 14.3.10 stipulates that anti-static and lightning/surge protection grounding devices must be installed at the beginning, end, and branching points of process pipelines laid above ground or in non-sand-filled trenches, as well as every 200–300 meters along the straight sections of such pipelines. According to Specification 2: Article 10.3.3 of the \"Code for Design of Oil Reserve Depots\" GB 50737-2011, anti-static grounding devices shall be installed at the beginning and end of oil pipelines laid above ground or in trenches, at branching points, as well as every 200 m to 300 m along the straight sections; the grounding resistance should not exceed 30 Ω. The grounding device for protecting against induced lightning can also serve as an anti-static device, and the grounding point should be located at fixed pipe piers (supports). Proper procedure: Enterprises should promptly check whether anti-static grounding measures have been installed at the beginning, end, and branching points of process pipelines, as well as every 200–300 meters along the straight sections; any lack of such measures should be rectified without delay.
