On January 4, the award notice for the technical service contract related to the feasibility study report of Chifeng Boyuan’s 2×150,000 tons/year biomass-based green methanol project integrating wind, solar, hydrogen, and storage technologies was released; the winning supplier was Shandong Fuhai Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. On September 12, 2025, the Chifeng Keshiketeng Industrial Park organized a meeting to discuss the development of a 150,000-ton/year green methanol project. Relevant departments from the industrial park, as well as those responsible for development and investment promotion, held in-depth discussions with representatives from Chifeng Boyuan Technology Co., Ltd. and China National Machinery Industry Corporation regarding the creation of this green methanol project based on Chifeng Boyuan’s 150,000-ton/year methanol production facility. Practical discussions were carried out on key issues such as project planning, industrial collaboration, policy support, and local cooperation, resulting in initial intentions for cooperation.
