From March 9th to 10th, the meeting for the detailed design of the auxiliary systems for the ethanol and acetic acid downstream products project (Phase I) of Yulin Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yanchang Petroleum, was successfully held in Xi’an. The meeting noted that this project is a key initiative for Yanchang Petroleum Group to optimize the layout of its coal chemical industry and increase the added value of its products; it also serves as a crucial support for Yulin Coal Chemical Company in extending, strengthening, and improving its industrial chain in order to promote industrial transformation and upgrading. As the \"heartbeat\" of a project, the design quality of utility systems and auxiliary facilities is directly related to the long-term stable operation of the main equipment. The holding of this kick-off meeting marks the official entry of the project into its substantive implementation phase. It is reported that this project was planned and developed by Yulin Coal Chemical Company in line with the development strategy of \"completing the industrial chain, strengthening it, and extending it.\" Building on the existing methanol and acetic acid products in the Yuheng Industrial Park, the company aims to develop new forms of productive capacity suited to local conditions, thereby creating a product structure that is high-end, diversified, and low-carbon. The goal is to establish a \"model base for high-end, sophisticated coal chemical new materials.\" This project is one of Yulin City’s key construction projects, and it is also a sub-project of the \"Yuheng Methanol and Acetic Acid Deep Processing Project,\" which is part of the transformation efforts related to the Kekage Coal Mine. Once completed, this project will create the only full industrial chain in China that goes from coal to POE, filling the gap in high-end, sophisticated coal chemical new materials in the Northwest region. It holds great significance for the high-quality development of Yulin Coal Chemical Company. The project is located in Plot C17 of the Southern Area of the Coal Chemistry Industry Zone in Yuheng Industrial Park, and it is a new construction project. The project consists of four parts: a new factory complex, a vinyl acetate plant area, a circulating water tank area, and a reserved area. The total land area of the project is 53.9626 hectares, all of which are permanent land uses. The total investment amount is 6.868 billion yuan, of which the estimated cost for soil and water conservation measures is around 107 million yuan. Construction contents: include a 200,000-ton/year ethyl acetate plant, a 250,000-ton/year ethanol-to-ethylene plant, a 250,000-ton/year vinyl acetate plant, and a 200,000-ton/year EVA plant, among others. The 250,000 tons/year vinyl acetate plant and associated auxiliary facilities were constructed in advance and put into operation. It will be constructed simultaneously with the Kaiyue Coal Chemical 500,000 tons/year methanol-to-ethanol project.
