2024/12/5 Recently, the preliminary design work for the LiuHeng LNG export pipeline project, undertaken by Shigong Jian Petroleum Engineering Design Company, was approved by **Pipeline Network Group. This project is the **first submarine pipeline project in the pipeline network**; it is constructed using the relatively rare domestic method of \"laying two large-diameter pipelines side by side underwater\". It involves various new facilities such as submarine pipelines, onshore pipelines, and station valve rooms. Moreover, due to various constraints including navigation routes, anchorage areas, and fishery protection, its implementation is quite challenging. Faced with challenges such as high construction requirements, strict review procedures, and tight project deadlines, the design team carried out 5 specialized studies, including \"Technical Research on the Feasibility of Laying Submarine Pipelines in the Same Trench or in Parallel\" and \"Technical Research on the Crossing of Existing Pipes/Cables by Submarine Pipelines and Land-Sea Directional Drilling Techniques.\" They conducted numerical simulations to analyze seabed erosion, ship waves, and tidal currents, and made significant optimizations to the design of the spacing between the two submarine pipelines as well as the measures for protecting them. For the first time, digital design and delivery of this pipeline network project were accomplished, thereby helping to improve the management of the pipelines throughout their entire lifecycle.
