Donghua Company wins the bid for the largest coal chemical evaporation and concentration project in China for treating high-salinity wastewater

Recently, Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Chemical Engineering, won the bid for the EPC general contracting project for the concentration, separation of salts from brine, and resource utilization at Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. of the Energy Group. This is the largest coal chemical evaporation and concentration project for treating highly saline wastewater under construction in the country, and it holds great significance for Ningxia’s efforts to establish a pilot zone for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin. 　　The project is located in the coal chemical industry park of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base in Yinchuan City, Ningxia, covering an area of approximately 110,000 square meters. The construction contents of the project mainly include purification and impurity removal units, salt separation and crystallization units, rigid landfills, as well as various auxiliary facilities for the entire plant and finished product warehouses. The project’s capacity for crystallizing and separating salts from concentrated brine is 85 cubic meters per hour. It utilizes a process technology that combines purification to remove impurities, thermal salt separation, freeze crystallization, and evaporation crystallization, enabling it to address the problems associated with high-concentration brine and mixed salts generated in coal-to-oil production, such as the difficulties in handling them and the high costs involved. The project can produce approximately 130,000 tons of sodium sulfate, 20,000 tons of sodium chloride, and 20,000 tons of miscellaneous salts per year. This will enable the recycling of wastewater, reduce pollutant emissions, and effectively improve the regional ecological environment. 　　This signing is another strong demonstration of Donghua Company’s full implementation of the “T+EPC” model. Next, the company will make full use of its strengths in the operation of environmental protection facilities such as sewage treatment and solid waste disposal, as well as in the general contracting of chemical projects. It will carry out all tasks related to project design, procurement, and construction to ensure that the projects are completed on time, with high quality and in accordance with the specified specifications.
