Recently, Zhongyuan Design Company, part of the Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation, won the bid for the Hengyi Energy Turpan ethylene glycol long-distance pipeline project, marking its transition from focusing on the design of energy infrastructure alone to providing comprehensive services across the entire industry chain. This project is the first product-grade ethylene glycol dedicated pipeline in China; it is located in Turpan City, Xinjiang, with a total length of approximately 115.2 kilometers. Its designed annual transportation capacity is 2.4 million tons. To address the issues of high costs and easy product damage associated with traditional road and rail transportation, this project adopts a dedicated pipeline transportation system, which can effectively reduce logistics costs and ensure the purity of ethylene glycol. It holds great significance for promoting the advanced and sustainable development of the coal chemical industry.
