Recently, an announcement was made regarding the results of the public bidding for the engineering development and pilot-scale validation of biomass gasification technology by Guoneng Longyuan Environmental Protection, a subsidiary of Kehuan Group. The winning bidder is Shanghai Boiler Works Co., Ltd. Guoneng Longyuan Environmental Protection is developing a technology for pressurized pure oxygen biomass gasification, with the aim of overcoming key technical challenges related to this process—such as the production of syngas from biomass under such conditions. This effort seeks to establish a green fuel supply system that integrates low-carbon environmental protection measures with the utilization of renewable resources. Ultimately, it aims to promote the sustainable development of new energy power generation as well as the utilization of agricultural and forestry waste. Guoneng Longyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. has developed biomass pressurized pure oxygen gasification technology, and designed, constructed, and operated a pilot-scale unit for biomass pressurized pure oxygen gasification with a processing capacity of 4 tons per hour. Project Overview: The Project on the Development and Application of Key Technologies for Biomass Gasification Coupled with Green Hydrogen Production to Create Green Fuels, carried out by the Xifeng Branch of Longyuan (Huanxian) New Energy Co., Ltd., is located within the Xifeng Industrial Park (south area) in Qingyang City, Gansu Province, covering an area of approximately 60 mu. Adopting the technology route of \"new energy hydrogen production + biomass gasification + methanol synthesis + aviation fuel synthesis\", along with 6MW of distributed off-grid photovoltaic systems and a 1000 Nm³ hydrogen production system via water electrolysis, it is expected to produce 2,000 tons of green methanol and 60 tons of green fuel per year.
