The more established desulfurization technologies fall into two categories: dry desulfurization and wet desulfurization. In dry desulfurization, precision desulfurization is widely used, while in wet desulfurization, methods such as low-temperature methanol washing, PDS method, and tannin method are commonly employed. It is necessary to select the appropriate process technology based on the composition and content of sulfides.

Alkaline solution is NaOH; there are two methods: the single-alkali method and the double-alkali method. The double-alkali process is somewhat similar to the limestone-gypsum process, but if not operated properly, it can easily cause blockages in the equipment, pipes, and nozzles.
