1. Release is not allowed within dangerous areas. 2. For continuous venting, a flare stack must be installed. Accident release must be safe. Refer to Specification 50160.
If it can’t enter the torch, it has to be vented; generally, a torch doesn’t allow entry because the volume is too small and there’s no pressure. . .
In plant areas with torches, is it still allowed to release certain flammable gases? In principle, it is not allowed; generally, there are pipelines connected to the flare, and the area is purged and displaced into the flare in a sealed manner.
It’s not allowed; there are significant safety risks. The flare serves to dissipate pressure and stabilize the pipeline network pressure.
