How is a chemical dosing unit controlled by a computer?

Today, chemical dosing units are all fully automatically controlled. So how do these units enable computer control?
For the chemical dosing unit, we usually use metering pumps for control; we have not yet used DCS for control
You can find relevant manufacturers to purchase complete sets of equipment, or develop your own control scheme and have a system integrator integrate the control system for you. These are basically the two options; you can also do it yourself if you know how!
