Can the safety valve outlet pipe be connected to the main pipe?

It’s likely that the medium being discharged poses risks such as corrosion and toxicity; by placing it in a tank, the water helps to absorb this medium and acts as a liquid seal, so there are no issues. The pipe opening does not need to be inserted very deep
There is no problem with the piping of this safety valve. But the safety valve vents directly into water, and it’s an open-container – can water really have such an effective absorption effect?
Hand valves should be installed before and after the safety valve to facilitate maintenance and calibration. Special media also require the installation of rupture disks.
It works on the same principle as ordinary petrochemical air defense pipes, which go from the main flare pipe to the gas holder
