Polymerization prevention issues in dehydrogenation exhaust gas compressors, and key operating points. Please, an expert, help me understand this.
The main focus is on controlling the compressor outlet temperature; even if liquid is discharged at low levels, it is crucial to ensure that an appropriate amount of ethylbenzene and polymerization inhibitor are added. Without these chemicals, polymerization will definitely occur at the compressor outlet.
1. The outlet temperature must not exceed 75°C. 2. The outlet pressure must not exceed 170. 3. There should be no liquid accumulation at the outlet. These are just personal opinions and do not represent anyone else’s views!
