In one workshop, all the equipment, whether it’s flat intermediate tanks or equipment with legs, is placed directly on the concrete floor of the workshop. Ask why not build on a foundation and place it on that foundation. Answer: There’s no need for it. If there’s water, it will flow into the workshop’s drainage channels. What’s the point of having a foundation that’s above the ground level? Please argue your case firmly. Is it okay to place it directly on the ground without any regulatory requirements?
Mechanical equipment seems to have specific requirements; as for storage tanks, I’m not sure – I just placed mine on the ground.
Depending on the classification of the equipment and the properties of the medium, it should be placed on a solid surface as much as possible; not all equipment needs to be placed on the ground
It’s perfectly fine to use it on the ground when the weight isn’t too high and there are no special requirements regarding vibration.
