Dear seniors in the forum, we are facing difficulties in dehydrating the coal tar here recently. The moisture content in the product tank is around 15%; after heating and allowing it to stand, this value has dropped to around 9. However, the separation of oil from water at the top isn’t clear. The analysis results for tank number 3 show a moisture content of 9.0, an ash content of 0.16, and toluene-insoluble substances at 9.20. Could you help analyze whether it will still be effective to carry out static dehydration now, with the temperature in the tar tank around 80°C? If it’s convenient, you can leave your WeChat number.
Seniors, please pay attention to this post and reply if you can. Thank you.
Experts in coking, where are you?
Hello, we specialize in the separation of ammonia from tar. Our services can reduce the oil content in recycled ammonia and residual ammonia, while also improving the quality of the tar and ensuring that its moisture levels are within acceptable limits. Given the high environmental regulations in China, many companies face problems related to COD levels, and oil content contributes significantly to these values. Therefore, there is a focus on improving the quality of residual ammonia and recycled ammonia in order to reduce COD levels. We have many successful cases in China, and we maintain close relationships with experts and managers from various coking enterprises. Through long-term cooperation, they have become part of our technical team as senior consultants. We have a top-notch R&D team and service team, and we are always ready to provide you with free guidance and consultation. Your feedback helps us improve further. Our goal has always been to provide high-quality services to our clients. We also have technologies and proven solutions for cleaning pre-coolers, final coolers, and benzene washing towers, offering effective ways to reduce COD and color intensity in wastewater. We look forward to working with you to solve your problems. Feel free to contact us at 158 3899 6008 – one partnership, lifelong friendship
Hello, my main issue at the moment is that the separation of ammonia from tar in the tar tank isn’t effective; it’s not that there’s tar in the ammonia. I’ll consult with my supervisor, and if necessary, I’ll get in touch with you promptly.
We specialize in the separation of ammonia from tar, aiming to improve the speed and efficiency of this separation process. If needed, we can provide a free solution plan; feel free to reach out to us at any time
Hello. We can add chemicals for dehydration; tests can be carried out at our location free of charge. Please contact 13306300991 for further details
9.0% moisture, 0.16% ash, 9.20% toluene-insoluble matter – products with such parameters certainly cannot be sold normally. As far as I know, there are methods of dehydration such as dehydration by heating and leaving it to sit, dehydration using a centrifuge, and dehydration with an aeration fan. As for which method is suitable for you, I’m unable to advise.
I encountered such a problem when working on a project for coal dry distillation to produce oil at Shenhua in 2014; later, we decided to use centrifugal separators for the separation process. This equipment has been manufactured by several producers, including Shanghai Baosteel, and field investigations have shown that it performs very well. QQ: 33235454
