The company plans to collect 6 kg of steam centrally and produce low-pressure steam for insulation purposes. Please let us know what precautions should be taken, and whether the water discharged from the original drain valves is under pressure What are the things to keep in mind when using this steam trap? The water coming out of the steam trap is definitely under pressure, but it’s only around 2 kilograms per square centimeter
Be careful not to create pressure buildup behind the steam trap; otherwise, it will affect the various branches, resulting in some of them being unable to discharge liquid. I learned my lesson – just two days after installation, the entire setup in the workshop had to be taken apart

For centralized steam recovery in the workshop, it is possible to install two collection tanks after the steam traps, one of which being a high-pressure tank. One is a low-pressure tank; high-pressure steam enters the high-pressure collection tank, while low-pressure steam enters the low-pressure collection tank. The collected steam can be reused through pipes, and the water can return to the boiler room for reuse.
Previously, the condensate from the heating steam of ten distillation columns was sent to one single condensate station. Since it was necessary to control the heating temperature at the bottom of each column, the actual steam pressure in each column was not the same; as a result, the liquid discharge from columns with lower steam pressure was not smooth, and heating could not be effectively achieved
How high will the pressure of the collected condensate be?
Each type of steam trap has a different backpressure, and thus the pressure of the water discharged from the steam trap also varies. If a mechanical-type drain valve is recommended for recycling, whether it can be returned to a tank will need to be determined based on the specific conditions at the site.
