In my opinion, condensate should be discharged at locations where it can easily accumulate; it’s not necessary for it to be discharged through main pipes or branch pipes, as otherwise the problem of accumulation in lower areas cannot be resolved. The main pipe should have several water supply points; water supply should be available at the beginning of each branch pipe, which facilitates water delivery and ensures safe and convenient control of steam supply and shutdown.
There should be a hydrophobic point every 80-100 meters, and one hydrophobic point must be installed at the lowest point.
Steam traps should be installed at the following locations in steam pipes and steam heating equipment: (1) the end or lowest point of saturated steam pipes, and the end of steam tracing pipes. If the steam pipeline is long, steam traps should also be installed at regular intervals ; In front of or at the lowest point of each vertical “∏-type” compensator in the saturated steam pipeline ; (2) Before the pressure reducing valve and before the control valve in the saturated steam system ; (3) The lower part of steam separators and steam heating equipment, etc ; (4) Lowest point of the steam inlet pipe for equipment that is constantly in hot standby mode ; (5) The lower part of the expander, the lower part of the steam distribution cylinder (steam distribution pipe), and the lower part of the wave crest of the horizontally installed corrugated compensator.
Adding a check valve after the steam trap should work, right?
