Can falling-film evaporators and rising-film evaporators be used simultaneously? First, the liquid passes through a rising-film process and then a falling-film process to evaporate the solvent in it
It seems that our apparatus for vaporizing toluene first uses normal-pressure rising-film (vapor-liquid separation), and then reduces the pressure for falling-film evaporation
I should read books properly. I actually don’t understand what falling film is and what rising film is. I have only used falling film absorbers :)
It mainly depends on the medium; different media require different approaches.
