Coolers in cold regions should be equipped with bypass valves and vent valves on their water piping. If it is a threaded connection, a flexible joint should be used; no water should accumulate in front of the vent valve to prevent the equipment from being damaged by freezing.
Assuming A and B have the same labeling, it seems that B is a bit better. After all, with the outlet facing downward, it looks more pleasing and is safer.
