The steam pipes on site have unnecessary components or designs; they may be too complex or redundant, thereby affecting normal operation. It’s like adding extra details to a snake – unnecessary. .
I don’t see the steam trap. An extra water collection tank?
This post was last edited by tan90° on 2025-7-21 08:41. I don’t think the elbows and straight pipes behind the valve are necessary; there’s no gutter either. The only reason I can think of for this design is to ensure safety for the people operating it, so as to avoid injuring them. The water collection tank is part of the standard approach, but I’m not quite sure about that valve there; to keep things simple, there should be 1 valve, or else it should be a valve assembly consisting of 4 or 5 valves.
Another possibility is that what’s meant upstairs is that no collection tank is required for drainage at the end of the pipes?
The water collection tank is a bit over the top. Insulation should not be used starting 1 meter in front of the steam trap
I don’t see any problem with it. According to our approach, we still need to set up a bypass for the drain valve, in order to allow faster drainage of condensate during operation
