A simple design for spray evaporators

Hello everyone, I’m a beginner in graduate studies. I’m currently designing a simple spray evaporator for use in experiments involving small-scale evaporation processes. I was wondering what requirements there are when choosing a nebulizer – will an ordinary nozzle work? There is concern that the residence time will not be sufficient to complete the evaporation process. I’m asking the experts to help answer this :(

It doesn’t say what it’s for – is it for spray drying or humidification? The topic is broad; it can’t be explained in just a few words. If one is not motivated, no guidance can be provided; it is recommended to first find relevant materials and then ask more specific questions after reading them.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I am designing a spray evaporator for separating binary components, with the aim of dispersing the feed material into fine droplets. I’m not sure which type of nozzle would be suitable for this purpose. There is very little information available online regarding the structure of nozzles and their specifications, such as the diameter of the droplets they produce. Therefore, I would like to know what kind of nozzles are generally used in spray evaporation processes – nozzles that can create fine mist droplets, and whose droplets can fall back down and be collected later. Are there any nozzles you can recommend?
