How many industrial-scale methanol-to-gasoline plants are currently in operation in the country? What are the benefits? Is it technically mature? What other issues need improvement? Please discuss.
The benefits are currently negative; all of the units that have been built have stopped operating. The technical maturity is acceptable.
For 19 years, the coal chemical industry has been operating at reduced capacity to reduce inventory levels; these inventories have not yet been cleared, and now oil prices have dropped sharply, leading to reduced production and plant shutdowns – not to mention MTG operations
Methanol to olefins, followed by dipolymerization products – profits are currently very good
