Industrial gas pipeline with a pressure of 0.6 MPa, temperature of 230°C, and DN150 size; the steam supply for the enterprise is not continuous, and the interval between startups and shutdowns is approximately 10 to 15 days. If it liquefies slowly like that, it will take time for it to re-solidify, and the impact on the pipes might not be good either. I thought about creating a bypass, so that when it’s not in use, the fluid can flow back through the bypass pipe, thereby reversing the direction of thermal displacement……
Drain valves are installed at the ends of all steam pipes

Increasing the steam trap will ensure the proper temperature of the pipeline. This is the simplest way.
The small waste heat power generation unit mentioned earlier can address the issue of continuous steam demand and also generate electricity.
Install a small steam pipeline at the end point; when the client is not using steam, activate this pipeline to keep the main pipe at the desired temperature. The small pipeline can be pulled back to the supply point for further processing.
