Noise issues when directly heating cold water with steam

I have a distillation tower with direct steam heating, in which steam at 0.5 Mpag is introduced into the tower for direct heating. I used a steam distributor; it took about 15 minutes to heat the mixture to 100 degrees. Starting from the 3rd minute and ending at the 4th minute, the noise level reached 75 decibels during that one to two minutes, while it was 50 decibels at all other times. The question is: how can I reduce that 75 decibel noise level during those approximately 2 minutes as well? I’ve seen steam distributors online, and they all seem to work fine in normal operating conditions. The key question is: can the temperature really drop below 50 in the initial state? Thank you
It must be liquid slugging caused by introducing steam too quickly
The steam pipeline is 25A, with a steam flow rate of 100 kg/hr.
Theoretically, with less steam added, the noise level is lower. It is recommended to add it to the distribution. The finer the distribution, the softer the sound.
Preheat the water first, and carry out an optimized design
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried 50 kg/hr; the noise did get a bit quieter, but it still didn’t work. Try lowering it a bit.
