The Chongqing Chemical Industry Research Institute and others have obtained a patent for a clean production system for 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine, improving the yield of this product. According to information from the Intellectual Property Office dated June 2, 2025, Chongqing Chemical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Chemical Industry Research Institute Materials Technology Co., Ltd. have been granted a patent titled “Clean Production System for 4,6-Dihydroxypyrimidine”; the approval number is CN222918128U, with the application date being August 2024. The patent abstract indicates that this utility model discloses a clean production system for 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine, which includes a sodium methoxide/methanol concentration tank, a reaction tank, and a crystallization tank. The sodium methoxide/methanol concentration tank is equipped with a pipeline for feeding the sodium methoxide/methanol solution as well as a condenser; the outlet of the condenser is connected to a methanol recovery tank. The discharge pipeline from the sodium methoxide/methanol concentration tank is connected to the feed pipeline of the reaction tank. The pipeline for feeding liquid materials has multiple branches, each connecting to a pipeline for feeding dimethyl malonate, formamide, methanol, a stabilizer, an organic filtrate, and a methanol hydrochloride solution. The discharge pipeline from the reaction tank is connected to a first centrifuge. It not only increases the yield of the product and enables effective resource utilization through recycling, but also reduces the organic content in wastewater and waste salts, thereby lowering treatment costs. It is environmentally friendly and offers higher economic and social benefits.

The Chongqing Chemical Industry Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”) was originally known as the Sichuan Province Chongqing Natural Gas Chemical Industry Research Institute.
