Recently, in catalytic cracking operations, there have been frequent instances of sudden increases in reaction pressure and distillation pressure, as well as sudden drops in the pressure at the compressor inlet, only for these conditions to return to normal automatically. It is suspected that there may be a blockage or liquid seal in the flow path from the top of the distillation tower to the compressor inlet. How can this issue be resolved?
Increase the top temperature to see if it’s still blocked~ Could it be that the tower is experiencing liquid flooding: lol
Pipelines of this thickness are less likely to get clogged. Additionally, the oil and gas stream at the top has to pass through two tanks – one for oil-water separation and another for oil-gas separation – before reaching the compressor inlet!
