Is it possible to install a check valve?

The low-pressure centrifugal fan used in my system is designed to operate at a pressure of no more than 0.07 MPa. When the fan malfunctions, the medium often flows back due to the valves not closing properly. For safety reasons, I want to install a check valve at the fan’s outlet; I’m not sure if this will work. Given the low pressure generated by the fan, I wonder whether it will be able to push aside the check valve. Please share your thoughts; thanks, bonus points for helpful answers
A check valve with reduced pressure should work.

A one-way valve can’t guarantee a tight seal, right? It is recommended that you install a shut-off valve linked to the fan via interlock. The fan is faulty, and the shut-off valve closes immediately.
