According to the standards, N2 is mainly used for purging, and this function can be achieved with factory air; so is it not necessary to use N2? If oxygen content requirements exist after replacement, purging, or maintenance, a fixed purging line can be used for purging. I’m not quite sure; does the action of N2 and the factory air overlap?
Displacement generally cannot involve oxygen; factory air contains oxygen, so it cannot be used as a substitute. For example, flammable and explosive pipelines such as gas and oil pipelines can only use N2, not plant air.
Factory air cannot be used as a substitute for nitrogen. Factory air contains oxygen; it cannot be used for equipment purging – nitrogen must be used instead.
