There are steam pipes in the trench, but there is no place to drain the condensate water. Can it rise from the trench to the surface for drainage? The depth of the trench is around 2.5 meters. The steam pipe has a diameter of DN25 and operates at 0.5 MPA; water hammer is a concern. Is there any solution for this? ?
Steam pipes can prevent condensation water, which in turn helps with corrosion protection and insulation; if separate corrosion protection and insulation measures are applied, they can then be filled in with soil. For reference.
How can the water entrained in the steam be discharged from a lower level to a higher one? Dig a deeper pit next to the pipe to facilitate discharge
Y can do this: I’ve seen in the roads of our campus steam pipes buried underground to carry condensate water away. At the lowest point of the trench, a trap is installed, and then the pipes extend above the ground to discharge the water; for the trap, one should choose one with a high back pressure
I agree with the view from the 4th floor: there is pressure in front of the drain valve, and when it is pushed up to the surface from a 2.5m deep ditch, there is no pressure~~~
It is a conventional design: the drain line extends from behind the steam trap to the ground for drainage, without any pressure. It should be noted that when there is water on the ground, care must be taken regarding the insulation layer as well as the foundation
Many underground solvent tanks equipped with steam heating are designed in this way, but it’s not ideal as they tend to freeze easily in winter
