The acetic acid cracking furnace produces ethylene through cracking; carbon deposition occurs in the catalyst and acetic acid gas mixer as well as in the quench tower, resulting in abnormal negative pressure in the system. Especially, there are a large number of tubes in the mixer – what causes this, and are there any effective ways to reduce it and extend the operational cycle?
If the naphtha stays in the pipes for too long, increase the flow rate after coking removal.
