Is there any particular consideration regarding whether the pressure gauge for equipment outlet should be placed in front of or behind the equipment outlet valve?
Before the outlet valve, it is possible to measure the pressure of the equipment when the outlet valve is closed
Placing it in front of the valve makes it impossible to know the actual pressure in the pipeline
Before the outlet valve, take the centrifugal pump as an example: before starting the pump, its outlet valve is closed. The operation of the pump is monitored using the pressure gauge located before the outlet valve; the outlet valve will only be opened when the pressure is sufficient

It should be placed between the valve and the equipment; only by performing pipeline pressure testing can the pressure be determined
Upon seeing the problem, I wondered what kind of equipment it was. Since it’s a container, does it have a pressure gauge? If not, it should be installed before the valve; when the valve is closed, it is necessary to monitor the pressure in the container. If such a device is available on the container itself, then it should be installed after the valve, so that the pressure in the pipeline can be monitored when the container is isolated. Typically, a local pressure gauge is installed at the top of the pressure vessel (in front of the outlet valve), while the measurement points for what is known as the top pressure of the tower or tank, which are controlled indoors, are usually located on the pipeline at the outlet of the tower or tank (behind the outlet valve). It is necessary to have a pressure measurement point in front of the outlet valve, for use in special situations ; However, during the operation of the unit, the outlet valve remains open at all times, and the location of the pressure measurement points is chosen with the convenience of routine instrument maintenance in mind.
