As shown in the figure, since the volume of air supplied by the exhaust fan remains constant, can the concentration of the mixed gas in the mixing tank be controlled by adjusting valve A on the oil-gas line? (The goal is to control the concentration of the mixed gas at the lower limit of the explosive limit)
It’s possible, but I personally think it would be more reasonable to do it that way. A flow transmitter is installed on the oil and gas pipeline, which is used to adjust the speed of the exhaust fan based on the amount of oil and gas (an inverter can be used for this purpose), or to adjust the opening degree of the valves in the air pipeline (this method is energy-intensive). Since the amount of oil and gas is variable and must be completely consumed, it is not very reasonable to install control valves on oil and gas pipelines. For reference only, thank you.
There is a prerequisite here, which is the explosive limit of the gas mixture. It’s not a problem if there’s plenty of air, but an explosion can occur if the oil and gas levels exceed the limit
Table A of GB50493-2009, \"Design Code for Detection and Alarm of Flammable and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Industries\", specifies that the lower explosion limit for gasoline vapor is 1.1%. This means that the lower explosion limit is achieved when the ratio of gasoline vapor to air is 1.1:98.9; if 1.1 units of gasoline vapor are mixed with 98.9×2 units of air, the concentration at this point is half of the lower explosion limit. As long as the induced draft fan you choose has a sufficient air volume, it is entirely possible to do this.
