The choke method involves installing the control valve for regulating the pressure at the top of the tower directly on the large-diameter pipe through which the gas enters the condenser, allowing for precise pressure adjustment. Control the pressure in a way similar to choking.

If it is a condenser, then a control valve is installed at the outlet of the condenser; this valve is used to directly control the level of the liquid phase inside the condenser, thereby indirectly controlling its heat exchange area.
