The facility currently has an instrument air storage tank with a capacity of 165 cubic meters (designed for 1.0 MPa, operating at 0.88 MPa). It is planned to install another instrument air storage tank with a capacity of 150 cubic meters at the east side of the existing tank, at a pressure of 2.5 MPa, with pipelines connected to it using the existing tank as a base. Where does this line turn? What needs to be taken into account in the design? When first starting out with this craft, there is much to learn from those who are more experienced*

The pressure in the new tank is much higher than that in the old tank; it’s likely that the outlet pipes of the storage tanks are touching each other. The elbow should be located after the pressure control valve at the outlet of the original storage tank (i.e., at the pressure level downstream of the control valve). In the future, the new storage tank will also have the elbow placed after the pressure control valve. The other aspect is to install safety valves to prevent overpressure in low-pressure systems, and to accurately determine the required discharge capacity of those safety valves. .
The operating pressure of the new tank is roughly 22–23 barg; it is assumed that this design is intended for use as an emergency tank in case of a problem with the instrument air supply. In such cases, attention must be paid to the issue of external air supply in the event of a power outage. Therefore, it is recommended to use mechanical self-regulating valves to control the pressure. Maintain a stable pressure of 6 barg behind the valve; no rapid pressure replenishment is required if not necessary~~
