If I encountered any problems, I could always ask my mentors for help. These experienced workers don’t have much theoretical knowledge either; they give answers based on their experience. In state-owned enterprises, there is hardly any specialized training in basic technical skills. Although there are numerous safety training sessions, they consist of the same few rules and slogans over and over again, merely to meet the requirements for safety training hours. Sometimes we hire an expert to give a lecture, but the teacher’s lectures are always too concise and full of concepts; they never meet our needs. It’s like going to a barbershop for a haircut – there’s always one spot that itches, but you can never reach it. Although my work has been fairly good, I feel confused; after several years in this field, I still haven’t really mastered it. I hope that every newcomer to the chemical industry will encounter basic training that can address their specific needs as soon as possible. Based on my vision of what ideal training should be like, I plan to compile a set of 30 simple lecture series on chemistry. Based on personal interests, I craft it slowly from time to time in my free time, just for fun! Let’s give it a try today as a sample.
