Are you the construction contractor or the owner? In general construction, a complete weld formed by welding pipes is referred to as a weld joint. During inspection, samples are taken proportionally; for example, the client may take 10% and the supervisor 10%, resulting in 20% of the weld joints needing to be inspected. Alternatively, the supervisor may decide on a random basis which weld joints need to be inspected, and these joints are then referred to as the joints to be inspected
